The CLASP Consortium is an unincorporated association made of public sector members
bound together by a Constitution. Nottinghamshire County Council acts as the
Trustee Authority.
Membership of the Consortium has two levels, full members and honorary members,
the difference being that full members can vote at the Management Committee and
in so doing take on the administrative responsibility for the Consortium. All
members have the right to use the intellectual property and services of the Consortium.
Six of the seven full members have formed a local authority controlled Trading
Company through which the Consortium’s intellectual property and services will
be made available.
Any public sector organisation can apply to be a member of the Consortium. There
is no joining fee or annual subscription. However it is intended that members
will participate in the work of the Consortium contributing to its policy initiatives
and development. A charge is made for the use of the Consortium’s intellectual
property and services as they are used.
